Nikrothal forms a range of austenitic nickel-chromium alloys (NiCr alloy) for use at temperatures from approximately 1050°C (1920°F) to 1200°C (2190°F). The alloy is characterized by high resistivity and moderate oxidation resistance. It has good ductility after use and excellent weldability.
The Nikrothal range (Nikrothal 20 to Nikrothal 80) contains various mixes of:
Nickel (Ni) Chromium (Cr) Silicon (Si) Iron (Fe) and trace amounts of carbon (C).
